An understanding of the global economy and access to foreign markets are becoming strategic advantages. Precarn's International Program helps Canadian companies achieve global competitiveness and visibility. Participation by Precarn members in an international project will give them immediate access to an international network of potential strategic partners and a global customer base, and the inside track on the latest technologies from foreign sources.

The International Program works with existing funding programs in other countries, such as Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS), the European Sixth Framework Programme, and the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS).

International Funding Criteria

For projects within this program, Precarn funds must be used for the Canadian component of the project and must be spent within Canada. Precarn funding would be a component of a multilateral funding package, where foreign countries and researchers are supported by counterpart organizations.

Precarn will contribute a maximum of 40% or $1 million. At least two Precarn members and one university must be involved.

Status: Currently no funding
