There are many benefits of membership in the Precarn R&D Network:

An investment in your future
Precarn Incorporated is a national consortium of corporations, research institutes, and government partners working within the intelligent systems sector. Our Mission is to make Canadian firms more globally competitive through increased development and the use of intelligent systems.

Access to funding
R &D undertaken by Precarn members is eligible for funding of up to 40% of the developmental research costs. Funding is provided by federal and provincial agencies and private industry. Total funding, including private sector commitments, is expected to exceed $120 million during the period 2001 - 2005.

Access to partners
Precarn has a unique, fifteen-year track record of assembling collaborative research teams to accomplish collectively what individual companies could not accomplish alone. By finding and working with like-minded partners, you'll be able to share managerial and technical resources as well as financial risks.

Access to new technologies, markets and distribution channels
Precarn members are plugged into the largest intelligent systems network in the country consisting of first-rate people, programs and organizations throughout Canada.

Access to innovation
By taking advantage of collaborative research opportunities, you'll be able to accelerate the "innovation cycle," reducing your prototype development time. Both large national organizations and smaller local, start-up companies make up the Precarn network, providing a broad pool of expertise and experience upon which members can draw.

Access to expertise
One of Precarn's primary goals is to develop and sustain a cadre of highly qualified personnel in the Canadian intelligent systems field. Precarn membership links you directly with expert scientists and engineers as well as leading university researchers.

Access to opportunity
Intellectual property developed by Precarn project participants remains the property of those participants. Precarn itself retains no ownership.

Access to advice and information
Precarn's experts can give you valuable, time-saving advice on preparing R &D proposals. A variety of workshops, an annual conference and other events, provide excellent networking opportunities, often in collaboration with other organizations. Members are the first to learn about Precarn's research and development funding opportunities.

Subscription to IntelliNotes and IntelliAlerts
All categories of membership may elect to receive Precarn's newsletter called IntelliNotes and receive alerts from Precarn via its IntelliAlert email service.  >>Click to subscribe to IntelliNotes
